I swear there are some kinda pest i totally hate working with.

Here is one of those classic example that i hate when i work On-calls:

Nurse: hey what case are u all doing here ah?

Me: Oh we are doing AVG... why you want to scrub? haha

Nurse: NO LA! I only know how to do Ortho case

Me: *silence

Excuse me you mean Ortho nurses are limited to doing Ortho cases?

Can i say i only know how to do ENT cases?

Next classic example:

Me: Hey what case are u all doing here?

Nurse: Oh laproscopic appendix

Me: oh okay

Nurse: you know how to do

Me: ya i know ah... common case

NUrse: oh is it? i dono how to do leh

Me: -.-" u nv do b4 meh

Nurse: i only do twice.... then ok lo u do lah i dono how to do

If you do not know how to do, all the more YOU SHOULD DO RIGHT! i should be circulating for u!

BUt anyhow, i don like to argue with ppl like this... if you do not wish to learn i will NOT FORCE YOU! I don mind scrubbing, but for lazy ppl like this really irks me to the core.

Coffee talk

Meet alvin yest... like finally after so many clash duty and cancelled meet ups

Ate the Bak kut teh opp concourse... still good... super bloated

Drank at cheeky chocolate...so so only the coffee... their packaging for chocolates are kidna disappointing...

Good food good companion and good chat

And u cant deny that guys are superficial in many ways ahaha....

Long hrs shift

Today my boss treated us to strawberry cream cheese

Except that the strawberry cream cheese comes out from an extremely extensive neck abscess

Strawberry cream cheese = pus pus and alot alot alot of pus!!!! Mix with blood of coz

Its really alot alot of pus... endless

1st hr... get rid of outer layer.... pus pus pus

2nd hr.... still getting rid of pus

3rd hr... still got pocket... pus again... zzz

Took us close to 4 hrs to clear the neck abscess... or rather neck dissection

Nearly half of the neck is gone.... looks like we will ve a flap case coming up soon.

Really happy to scrub for my boss... haven scrub for his case for a long time

Whenever there is an 'E' case(other than FB)... they will all come down together in a team to do the case together.. irregardless of whoever consultant is incharge of the case.

Am proud to be in my discipline =)

And my boss haven "let me off" yet... he is still "pestering" me for answers lol! and he ask me:

boss: "how long ago since u r in sec sch?"
me: Wei i not very old okay!! even though i look old
Boss: so how long ago? 10 years??
me: -.-"" no lar!
Boss: *give questionable look
me: Just 4 years ago lor!
Boss: oh is it?! *eyes open super big
me: nvm

Yest was one hell of a day.
As though wrking long hrs after afternoon shift is nt bad enough, i was working wif shitty ppl the whole day!

cases nt properly prepared, things nt in place i gt shit frm surgeon when its nt my fault.

does it kill u surgeons to ve some patience?

asked to run LA case for a surgeon with AP n wrk shit again...

i as a OT nurse is wrking as a patient advocate n surgery assistance...not ur private assistance! stop ordering me ard from lt to rt! it cld really help if u ask nicely n be patience!

blahz...n otherbthings which i don wanna mention...

mid shift i m pissed alrdy...end of wrk i m literally so boiling mad tht i refuse to talk!

aargh! hope my long hrs today will be good!

hahaha feel like a assistant technician....stress but fun! come to think of it actually quite simple...

Cirulated for a BKA (Below knee amputation) today...haha first time i seen the full procedure...

And i hold the bucket for my scrub nurse while she place the leg into the bucket....

Good Morning!

Back from night shift... had a full breakfast... now m gg to slp thru lunch all the way till dinner time =)

Night shift was good yesterday... a rare sight

Worked with great colleagues yesterday (: As long as you ve a great supportive team, no matter how hard your work is we will pull it thru!
